Sweet, Sweet Home: my neighborhood one price store

Just a short walk from my apartment is Sweet Home, a store where about 95% of the items they sell cost $1.95. The few items that cost more are seasonal things like Christmas trees and they recently started selling dash cams. I thought that was interesting.

I like to go there for little organizational items and nail polish.  They have a wide variety of colorful baskets and containers that would be useful in any area of your home or office. But that isn’t all they sell. To give you a bit of an idea of what to expect here is a list of things that I can remember buying from Sweet Home, besides baskets and nail polish.

  • Rope style dog toy
  • cup and saucer
  • colored paper (used for paper cutting art)
  • 3D puzzles
  • iPad charger
  • baby shampoo (for Viva)
  • nail polish remover
  • gift bags
  • reusable shopping bags
  • shelf liner (the non slip kind)
  • scissors
  • photo frames (I use for small artwork)
  • zip ties
  • kitchen sponges (in cute colors and shapes!)
  • so much more

one price store, Guam, reconstructing wonderland,

Look at all that cute stuff. The only problem with these one price stores is that you walk in thinking you’re just going to pick up a couple things, but that is rarely ever the case.

Sweet Home is located in Harmon next to 7 Day Supermarket.
